Food Craft Institute, Baran is the first and only government Institute of Hotel Management in the entire Kota division of the state. A Newly constructed building in 5 acres of land situated in the ‘City of Bells’ a spiritual city of Jhalrapatan, Food Craft Institute, Baran having a sprawling campus with separate boys and girls hostel, indoor and outdoor sports facilities with mental and physical development of the students.

This Institute is setup by department of Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan, and affiliated with National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Noida (UP) an apex body under Ministry of Tourism Govt. of India. The Institute started its first academic session in 2023. The Institute provides adequate training facilities and other inputs to the students to help them to gain professional expertise.

Institute offers 3 years B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration, One & Half year Diploma in Food Production, Bakery & Confectionery, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office operation and Housekeeping Operations.

Apart with the regular courses, Institute conducts short courses for house makers and teenagers etc for imbibing the cooking and service skills. Also, Institute runs the various courses under the Hunar Se Rojgar Scheme (CBSP) sponsored by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and trains the targeted people to get employment and entrepreneurship.
